Forum Announcements

Hello DTCA Forum and Website member users,
Here is the starting structure I am proposing to better our communications and to effect some posting cleanups.

Forum - Rules - This one is in place and should only be modified or added to by the Forum managers.
Forum - How To's - This one should contain only instructions on how to do things in the Forum. There are bits and pieces of these types of instructions spread around different areas of the Forum which should be amalgamated under this topic.
Forum - Posts to Move - I am suggesting this one where members can provide direction to the Forum managers to move (copy and paste) posts that have been put in the wrong place, especially all the How to's that have been spread around. In order to keep this one to a manageable level the Forum manager would delete the post once the specified move has been done.
Forum - Things to Fix - This one would be similar to the Posts to Move where members can bring system faults to the attention of the managers to fix something. Once the fix is completed the post would be deleted. Again this is to keep the size down to a manageable level.

Website - How To's - This one should contain only instructions on how to do things in the areas of the website that are open to members.
Website - Things to Fix - This one is for members to bring system faults to the attention of the managers to fix something. Once the fix is completed the post would be deleted. Again this is to keep the size down to a manageable level.
Website - Announcements - This one is self-explanatory. Please use the events calendar for event announcements rather than this forum.

This is my starting structure and I am looking forward to reading member feedback.

An excellent idea, it should help immensely.

Dave K,

I could not agree more with Dave's comments above. We all are indebted to your enthusiasm and expertise and we are reaping the benefits of your dedication. I am also indebted to Al for his perseverance when I continually bombarded him for assistance.  Some of the fruits of his endeavours can be found in the British Gift Set section with the completion of several previously incomplete Posts.

I very much look forward to working with you in identifying things to be moved and fixed.

Many thanks.

Bruce
