Here are a coupled of "older" Dinky scenes...........
Terry
These are not too bad, Terry. I wouldn't mind having them in my collection!
DINKY DISPLAY PHOTOGRAPHY TRICK
Here is the 571/971 Coles Mobile Crane with a bigger cousin. The Triang Jones KL44 mobile crane.
I had both of these as a child and they were great to play with.

Dave
I love your pictures and the one with the large Triang crane and Dinky Coles Mobile Crane was great. I remember having the Triang crane was I was a lad and have just bought a reasonable example of the Coles Mobile Crane with box. I thought you would like to see my attempt to replicate the scene on page 12 of the January 2013 DTCA Journal which was part of an article from Jan Werner.
Regards Don.
That is excellent Don.
This thread gives us all a superb opportunity to play with our Dinky Toys once again and have fun!!!
Dave
Another opportunity to have a play!!!

ELEGANT & IMPRESSIVE
Ever since ITV pulled the plug on the Yorkshire TV series "Heartbeat" I have wanted to create a Dinky diarama using Mr Scripps' garage. I found plenty of pictures on the internet of the Goathland village garage used in the series but could only find a model produced on OO/HO scale which is no good for Dinkies! So, I decided to make my own from scratch using pattern imprinted sheet plastic and various plastic mouldings. It's not quite finished yet but I couldn't resist having a 'trial run' with it set up as a Ford service & repair garage with a few Dinky Ford cars (Anglia, Cortina, Capri and Corsair). What do you think?
Regards Don.
Here's an image of the 'real' Heartbet Garage
Don.
Very well done, Don ! I like very much the Austin behind the garage.
Richard
Don this is absolutely superb, many congratulations.
There is still life in these old Dinky Toys.
Dave
Richard, I see a Morris 1000 Traveller, not an Austin. Please confirm...A Happy Easter to you and all the forum's Members.

Hello Jackh.
You're right.
Thank you for your wishes.
Cheers
Dinky Continental Tours were now on their way home. As evening approached, bad weather set in and the snow got deeper and deeper. Even the snow plough they were following was struggling. What was that strange shadow moving in the background?
Eventually they were out of the deep snow, but the driver was more lost than ever.
Everyone was starting to get hungry, but perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to eat all those cakes bought in Amsterdam...
No. 62n Junkers Ju 90 Air Liner on flight through my displays!
Thank you Dave, I am absolutely delighted to see the leaflet of the Coles Crane. Can you show a bigger image of it? And can you please give me more informations about the real AEC-Coles thing?
A different point of view ...
I love those tankers - a beautiful picture of some beautiful old toys! Interesting angle - or are you trying to disguise the fact that they all have bashed-in fronts!
OK, at your service, Fred, here are the fronts:
Regards, Jan
Wonderful!
I am always really impressed by the casting of the front bumper detail, and the fact that the actual radiator can be seen through the grille. Even the Shackleton which is huge compared to the Dinky didn't quite capture the real Foden as well.
Chris Warr.
Thanks, Terry, for the nice details! They demonstrate there is more in a Dinky Toy!

Pavement Patterns.
Three Generations Oldies but Goldies.
I love your pictures Jan!
I particularly like your pavement picture - turning even a mundane item into an interesting display. These cardboard pavements were a great idea and even today I find mine useful when setting up simple diorama displays.
Thanks Fred, isn't it fun?
Now for a more dynamic picture of the Superior Criterion Ambulance above on the right:
EMERGENCY!!!
A busy racetrack scene.
The race in progress with the BBC Television Outside Broadcast busy filming and some spectators.
A much larger scene than this, and many more different scenes, will appear in a book I will be publishing on 1950s Dinky Toys towards the end of this year. I will have an ISBN number towards the end of September, it is because of the work on the book that I have been quiet on the forum recently - it is taking up a huge amount of my time.
Dave
Fantastic picture Dave well done for creating an amazing scene. The
quality and colour of those Dinky Toys is outstanding. This book of yours sounds brilliant, can't wait for it to be published and look forward to the details later in the year.
Ragards, Don.
Dave--That is a wonderful scene, evoking lots of memories of wonderful 50's Dinky's. It is always a pleasure to admire your wonderful photography, and I would certainly like to be able to purchase your book when it comes out, so be sure and let us know. I would also love to be able to help you in any way possible if there are any pictures of particular Dinky models that you need.......
Terry
Thank you guys
Work is progressing well at the moment, I will provide full details when they are available.
