There is something interesting in each issue of the Journal. In the last issue (January 2021) is this photo of a chrome plated Mini Cooper S in gold colour (chrome plating can be done in a varity of colours, not only in white) which is not gold plated.

Very little is known about the chrome plated Dinky Toys. Some were production models like the # 352 ed Staker's car and the # 700 Spitfire, some were promotionnal models : the # 149 Dyane, some were code 3, some were fitted on plinths for special occasions : # 112 Austin Sprite, # 674 Austin Champ, # 698 Tank transporter and Centurion, some were only partly plated like the # 266 ERF fire tender and some still remain to be discovered.
