The Studebaker pick-up and 25 S two wheel trailer are made to be together. One could think that the rear beds were cast in the same die.
The chinese counterfeit shows that the red rear bed of the pick-up and the trailer are cast in different moulds. The rear lights are recessed on the pick-up and raised on the trailer. Also the trailer is 1 mm. narrower (33 mm.) and 2 mm. (14 mm.) lower than the pick-up (34 mm. and 15.3 mm. respectively).
QUESTION : Is this the same on the Bobigny issues ?
The pick-up is not a "camionette" but a truck and it's scale 1/55 does not match the trailer's 1/36 if we consider that the trailer is a Bantam jeep trailer.
Hello Jacques,
My pickup and trailer have different castings:
- The measures are the same (33/15 mm).
- The rear lights are larger on the trailer, all are recessed.
- There is a notch over the hook on the pickup.
- The bottom of the trailer is flat whilst the pickup has mouldings to secure the chassie.
Best regards,
Ragnar
Terry,
Your covered pick-up is wrong. It should be as above.
The brown tilt is from the covered trailer ref. 25 T.
Jacques.....Yes, I think someone just assembled that one. I will go in and delete those photos so not to confuse anyone.
Best regards, Terry
