--42b and 043 Police Motorcycle Patrol (1935-55)

This side car Police Motorcycle was introduced in 1936 as part of the #42 Police Hut, Motor Cycle Patrol and Policemen set, which was discontinued in 1940.  Only the motorcycle was re-introduced after the war, and continued to be made until 1955.  My photos are of the pre-war version, which differs from the post war in the following ways:  white tires, instead of black; crimped axle ends instead of round, hand painted detail on the policemen; hand painted detail on the motorcycle.....cylinder head, exhaust pipe, and muffler all painted silver.

    Best regards,  Terry
