I was finally able to locate one these somewhat difficult to find trucks a short while ago, so I now have my little French Ford truck collection almost complete. It is properly called the Ford 25a Betaillere, and was made only from about 1950 through 1952. I have always been very fond of the light metallic blue that the French factory used on many models in the 1950's, so was glad to finally acquire a nice sample. There is typically nice detailing, as was usually the practice with the French Dinky's....note the appearance of the bolt heads showing on the vertical uprights of the stake bed....a very nice touch.
For fun, I am also showing it between two of its English cousins......the 30n Dodge Farm Wagon and 25g, the Market Gardner's Van.
First, here is a picture from the 1952 French Dinky Toys catalog
