--80b, 80bp and 816 Jeep Hotchkiss-Willys (1957-1964)

It's curious that this thread don't exist yet !

It's done now.

80 B classic jeep without rear hook

80 BP same as above but with driver (P as pilot)

80 BP/816 same as above but with box wearing both references

816 with rear hook and concav hubs

All the team with the cousins  : 828 with the missiles SS10 and 829 with the gun.

Kind regards

Richard

Yes, Richard, justice at last, since you gave birth to this threadsmiley

If you add a dash in the topic header (--80B ....) this thread will list neatly numerical in the French Military section.

A wonderful and impressive 80B/P / 816 collection you have now. All these variants on the same theme must have yielded quite some profit for the French factory!

I believe I have once seen a 80B box with a little end flap piece with 80BP and related information pasted over and containing a 80BP indeed.

I only have a lonely 80B in the French 80 collection, as 1959 is my datum limit and I am not a fan of the plastic figures. But I think I should still add a 80BP, be it with convex hubs only in order to have a really complete 80 series. Kind regards, Jan

Hi Jan.

Yes it was economically interesting to produce so many variants.

The last jeep numbered 1412 was a breakdown car and robably did not cost a lot to Meccano.

Do you know that there are two variants for the AMX 13 : two types of tension pulley.

Kind regards

Richard
