I love all aspects of Dinky Toys: collecting, displaying, cataloguing, researching, writing, photography, meeting, talking, sharing etc. etc. Main collecting focus: the first 25 years 1934-1959. I am rather improving than expanding the collection.
I try to collect only one type; the Auto Union from the 23 series. But as a result, I have more from the 23 and the later 200 series. I love the repetition in the cars and I am impressed with the durability. These cars have experienced so much, let alone as a group! I also have three gift sets including Auto Union. I have noticed that I have never found a box for the Auto Union. Perhaps someone can tell me more about that?
I have been a member since March 2020 and I am honored to join a group of enthusiasts who understand why collecting Dinky Toys is so special!
