This model was introduced in MM June 1965 as Dinky Toys. A flyer was issued for model 914 as Dinky Supertoys, but the base of the model as well as the box is a Dinky Toys. A clear example of a classification error in the publication.
This is the first succeeded new subject with uploaded photos on the normal way after the website upgrade. Hip Hip Hooray!!
All the best

Strange that the publicity material shows an AEC Mk5 (Mandator) tractor unit, whereas the actual model was a Mercury (with wheels somewhat undersized in proportion). I don't recall BRS running white trailers of this type either, but it was primarily a toy, after all.
Nice to see this is all working again Jan. I will have to post some new arrivals this weekend.
I like the AEC dealer poster and thanks for sharing.
fodenway, good eye on the different AEC trucks poster. I never realized that the poster shows the heavier AEC Mk instead of the smaller actually modelled AEC Mercury.
I enjoy the Dinky AEC models and I still have the Esso tanker from my childhood but the wheels always seemed off size wise.
Thanks for sharing - I have just added this to my collection
