--43a RAC Telephone Box (1935-40)

As opposed to the 42a Police Hut or box, which wa diecast, the 43a R.A.C. Hut or telephone box is made of tinplate, finished nicely to closely resemble the real thing.  This hut or box is quite small, so it only held the bare minimum of necessarys, incluidng the very desireable phone.  I believe R.A.C. stood for Royal Automobile Club, and they provided roadside service for their member, back in the day, when that was quite necessary.

              Best regards,  Terry
