The Heavy Bomber 66a is a camouflaged version of the Imperial Airways (Liner) 60a. The Armstrong Whitworth Atalanta was a 1930's airliner built for Imperial Airlines. In 1941 the remaining 5 aircraft were impressed by the RAF for use in India. The Dinky Heavy Bomber has a tinplate wing with 4 attached diecast engines, each with a 2 bladed tin propeller. The wing is mounted on a one-piece diecast fuselage. The landing gear is a simple axle with 2 large sized metal disc wheels. It was issued in both light and dark camoufflage. This is the dark version. The underside is painted a dull black. There is no name on either the fuselage or the wings.
It was not issued postwar.
