Panhard Tractor/Trailer connection

I am trying to restore the Kodak version Panhard Tractor/Trailer, I very much like to know if the tractor does have a connection with the trailer which can be fixed.
Or is it just the pin within the hole connection.
Can somebody give me the clue as I cannot find a picture of the combination showing me the original situation.

Thanks very much in advance from a new DTCA member from Holland.

Hello Jan

Firstly may I welcome you to the DTCA, you will find a lot of Dinky information here but most of it relates to British and not French Dinky.

I am going to ask one of our French experts and get back to you as quickly as I can.

Hi Jan

Jacques Dujardin has sent me the attached photo of the Kodak Panhard.

I have received the following reply from Nelson Twells the Secretary of the DTCA:

I have the articulated tanker in Esso livery, with the tank and driving unit
connection parted. The driving unit and trailer coupling arrangement on the Kodak
tractor/trailer, is the same as that on the SNCF articulated model, with the trailer protrusion
into the tractor unit being secured with a small rivet through a 'washer', thus providing a
normally non-removable articulated connection.

I also have the French 32C Esso articulated tanker which was also split into two units,
and managed to fix this. The spigot from the base of the tanker has a small hole in the
centre, and I drilled this out, used a 9mm diameter washer (I think it was a Meccano
small washer), and then used a small lead rivet with a touch of araldite into the drilled out
hole, to secure the rivet, coupling the driving and trailer units

I hope this might assist Jan. Nelson
