My favourite Dinky Toy...........

OK, I know you shouldn't have favourites, and that (almost!) everything that came from Binns Rd or Speke was wonderful, but I must admit to a real love of the Pre War 28 Series type 2 Delivery van.

For me these just define everything that made Dinky great. There really is nothing to compare to this Dinky in my opinion.

Obviously I didn't make it easy for myself in having this one as my favourite, and I know that baring a lottery win my odds of ever having more than a few are slim to none, but that makes me love the ones I do have all the more.

This week I added my third, (since 1994!) this lovely Firestone Tyres van.......

Here he is with the other two........

(The Seccotine van has folded kitchen roll inside to support a loose rear axle.)

At this rate I should have them all in about a couple of centuries or so.......

Chris--
Nice add to your budding collection of 28 series vans. That has to be an ambitious undertaking as they made so many different versions and liveries. But they are very nice little vans with a charm all of their own, along with being pre-war and from a very different era.
Thanks for showing us and good luck in finding some more as time goes by!!
