-265 Plymouth U.S.A. Taxi (1960-64) and 266 Plymouth Canadian Taxi (1960-66)

Hi everyone.

A very nice little taxi which merit a topic.

So I start with these photos, waiting other members contributions.

There is a shade between the red colour of the roofs

Kind regards.

Richard

For once Dinky -- which later would produce unrealistic monstrosities such as a Cadillac police car -- had it absolutely right. An accurate, timely model of a car that was widely used as a taxi.

I've written elsewhere that, ironically, it was the two-tone civilian version of the Plaza that made me a confirmed Dinky collector at age two -- because it so closely resembled vehicles used by the Blue Cab company of Chicago. The U.S.A. cab model that followed was, of course, based on contemporary New York coloring.

An all-time favorite!
