Fortunately, both the British and French Dinky Toys were in the Netherlands for sale. It seems that the British 582 Pullmore Car Transporter has been loaded with French Dinky Toys? A 24E Renault Dauphine or 24B Peugeot 403 (upper)? and 24 S Simca 8 Sport and 24V Buick Roadmaster (under)? I can not see it clearly.

Jan, on the top deck the no. 24X Ford Vedette is visible and below the Austin Atlantic, I agree with the Buick, see better detail below. By the way, French Dinkies were available in NL all the time indeed, through the agents Hausemann & Hötte of Amsterdam. For this range there was initially a separate catalogue available, shared with Belgium, prices in BF and DFL. I doubt if these had the same broad distribution as the catalogues (and models) of the British programme. Anyway, H&H had them available for their own use, as the example below, from their Documentation Office, confirms. Kind regards, Jan W
Thanks Jan and Jan for showing us these wonderful ephemeral items.
I received this old Dinky Toys catalogue leaflet UK 1937 with ref. number 13/637/25. This one is very scarce and hard to find. According to John Beugels' contribution he is saved on the site, but I can not find him, hence I add here images of the outside and inside. The Dutch version of John Beugels is in the PDF library. The Dutch edtion has 6 pages and the UK edition has 8 pages.

Hi Kas, I know of these private publications by Ed Symons. I found one - A5 size - in my library, numbered 10-11. It looks like a private annual report, discussing quite randomly all kinds of things that he experienced, articles found, swapmeets visited, not only about Dinky Toys but also other brands. Many photocopy and a lot of text by himself, not typewritten but handwritten (and copied of course). He even discusses an article 'Een autopark in Miniatuur', which was published in a book 'Ontmoetingen met Verzamelaars' [Encounters with Collectors], published ca. 1953. I have that book too and the article presents the model car collection of an old (unfortunately late) friend of mine, Coen Temminck Groll, almost entirely consisting of prewar Dinky Toys, Tootsie Toys, Märklin, Solido etc. I wonder what the contents of your catalogues looks like.
I know that Ed Symons distributed his catalogues and supplements among fellow-collectors (in fact like I do). I may ask some senior Dutch collectors if they know more about it and what became of Ed Symons after all these years. Kind regards, Jan
Last week i bought this set of 95 pieces of varnished wooden boards with dinky toys pictures on them.
The boards show models which are cut out of the 1967 No3 dutch catalogue.
Actually 2 catalogues are used, because of all pictures there are sets of 2.
They are homemade and i presume a loving father has made them as some kind of memory game for his children.
It probably took a lot of time to make this.
I thought a had to share this find with you all.
Greetings,
Kas
