Good to read this detailed thread. I have an early grey tyred one; the jib measures 6 inches. The real spec gives jibs of 20' standard and 25' next size. So the Dinky appears to veer towards the longer jib (possibly artistic licence for playability), and of course the jib is raised with string alone whereas rams are also shown on the real thing. Main point though is the Commercial Vehicle Show was then bi-enniel so there was not one in 1953. But in 1952 it was a real Dinkyfest with AEC, Thornycroft Mighty Antar, Guy Otter etc.
