49 N 2269 - Metal sports & race car set
Very little is known about this very rare set which apparently was sold by Sears Roebuck only in 1965. I have been looking for the 1965 Sears catalog but without success. Can any of our American friends bring some light on this subject.

Jacques, Terry, I hope I do not answer out of my turn, but this set was discussed by Keith Harvie in his The Binns Road Gazette, vol. 1 no. 1 of Jan/Feb 1999 (pages 24-25). There is also an illustration showing the Sears toys catalog index (readable with a magnifying glass) and the page showing the Metal Sports Cars - Road Racers Set. Kind regards, Jan
