Very nice pictures. The Dinky of this series are rearly lacking details : doors, bumpers, lights etc...

Great matching photographs of three iconic models, both real and play. Thank you too for your kind words with my Estate Car match. It was interesting what you mentioned about the shape of the Dinky model. It may have been difficult for Meccano to accurately match the rounded shape of the prototype, for the simple reason that apart from the chassis, mudguards, bumpers, and the front of the vehicle, the body was made entirely from wood. Notwithstanding the slight inaccuracy, I still think the Estate Car in all its variations was a beautiful model and certainly one of my favourites. I received mine very early in my collecting days for Christmas 1951 together with several other models, at which stage I became an avid Dinky collector, encouraged entirely by my over-generous parents!
