I love this Bedford, here are some of mine,

I've picked up a few more since I took these pictures, but there are still loads of variations to go.

Thanks Richard,

Here are the other three that aren't in the above pictures, I was very happy with the all cream version, I need one with black hubs now though.

Splendid Chris !
I never seen the cream version ! Has it red hubs ?
Same thing for the orange version with black wings ! is the black paint original ?
Kind regards
Richard

Hi Richard,

Yes all original, the black wings are pretty early I think, my all cream has red hubs, my Wants List for these says......

No Windows;
All Cream Black Hubs.
All Dark Green, Light Green Hubs.

Windows;
Red / Cream, Silver Grille, Metal Hubs.
Red / Cream, Black Grille, Plastic Hubs.

The last one shouldn't exist timelinewise, as Silver Grille came before Plastic Hubs, but they are out there!

Hello all,

This is my first post to the Forum. I like the Bedford Tipper also and
my rarest versions are on the picture. All have red wheels and are
100% originals.

Dear fellow member,

Recently is bought this 25m bedford tipper in all blue.

It is in playworn condition, but a very scarce colour version. So I'm very happy with it.

I have two questions and i hope you can give me the answer to them.

- The tyres look non Dinky, but cracked as they are seem original. Which should be on this version?

- The baseplate reads Dinky supertoys. The 25m was not a supertoys. Could this be a Pullmore baseplate that is used on all these versions?

greetings,

Kas

Here is my only version of the end-tipper.  Have heard this color is not very common.......I like all versions of the Bedford, Dinky made a nice model of it.

       Best regards,  Terry

Hi Kas, regarding the all blue 410 I just received an email from Jose Heraud with the following comment: "The all blue 410 Bedford dump truck has been altered, as Mike Richardson always told me and many collectors know. It's easy to take the base plate off and replace the back from another truck to make a "rare" color combination. The fact that it says "Supertoys" in the base plate proves that it was the front of the 582/982 Transporter truck added to a light blue back from a real 410 dump truck in yellow and blue."

Only two examples 25m/410 in my collection (below).

Kind regards, Jan

I've also never seen one with those radial treaded tires.  All the early ones seem to have only the large smooth tires.  Not sure if the last issues received the later treaded type tires.

      Best regards,  Terry

The tyres on your all-blue tipper appear to be from a Corgi Toy of the 1960s, and I would agree that the cab was originally from the car transporter. These Bedfords (and the Commer) are very easy to exchange parts to make supposedly "rare" variations. Attractive as they can be, I wonder how many collectors have paid excessive amounts for one?

Thank you very much for your help and comments.
I had my doubts about it, so it’s good to know i always can ask for help here.
It was a bargain so i’m happy with it as it is.
